ANNOUNCER: Welcome to the Bible Law Course Program. This is a series
of broadcasts about The Ten Commandants, not as a means to salvation, but as a
code of conduct for Christians. In these programs we will show that all our
nations problems can be solved with the application of God given law.
SPEAKER: Hello, today I will talk about The Ten Commandments and
modern day America. Let's turn to the fifth book of your Bible, to the book of
Deuteronomy, chapter 6. Would you like to have a long life, if so, then listen
to this chapter's first two verses.
Deuteronomy 6:1-2 : (1) Now these are the
commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the Lord your God commanded
to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it:
(2) That thou mightest fear the Lord thy God, to keep
all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son,
and thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.
Yes, that thy days may be prolonged, that you may live a long life, I have in
my hands a newspaper article about an attractive young teenager who does not
have long to live. Her days will not be prolonged. his news article is dated
April 14, 1992. it features a picture of a pretty 19 year old girl, sitting on
the sofa and playing with her pet cat. The cat is purring and she is smiling.
This teenager looks clean and wholesome, a daughter that any parent would be
proud to have. The tragedy is - she has aids. Here is the newspaper headline:
Ohio Teen with AIDS urges others to learn.
I will read from this newspaper article but as I read I will not mention her
name. Here's what the newspaper article says, it says, when she was 16, the only
thing she feared about sex was getting pregnant. Nearly four years later she has
aids. And today, she wishes she had learned more about the deadly disease in her
high school health class. She contracted the HIV virus through a relationship
with a friend. A friend who did not reveal he carried the virus. She said:
"we had been friends for years before we had a relationship."
Now at age 19 she says, "I felt that I had known him well enough, that
if there was anything he needed to tell me, he would." He wasn't her first
partner. The article goes on to say, "She is one of 9,000 teens and young
adults , ages 13 to 24 who have been diagnosed with AIDS in the last decade. In
the last two years AIDS cases in that age group increased 77%.
Researchers say, they are convinced the spread of HIV is more serious than
reflected in these numbers. And while experts agree that early intervention is
the best strategy to prevent the spread of the virus, few efforts to control the
infection have targeted adolescents.
And later in the article I find this, it says, "19% of the nations high
school students, and 29% of the seniors have had four or more sex partners.
Because an HIV infection can take ten years to develop, it is impossible to know
how many teens are infected. The article points out that she, the infected
teenager, has become a crusader on the subject of aids education. And what
advice does she offer in her lectures, well here it is, the article says, "Her
willingness to tell her story has her schedule booked until the end of this
school year."
Her message, "I ask them to do two things, first of all, do what is
right for you, not what is right for Tom, Dick or Harry." And she says,
"after you have decided what's right, do it the safest way you know how." The
newspaper article criticized parents with this comment, She said, "parents
blocked in depth AIDS discussions because of moral debates."
In this newspaper article the girl with aids complained that her former High
School offered a poor excuse for aids education, mainly because of a small moral
majority doesn't want sex and prevention methods taught, unless it's
abstinence. The article concludes, she said she no longer can think of her
long time future. She says, "my future is tomorrow, I take it one day at a
time." That, my friends is a very sad situation. Here again is verse two of
Deuteronomy chapter 6:
(2) That thou mightest fear the Lord thy God, to keep
all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son,
and thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.
Yes, that thy days might be prolonged. In the newspaper article,
parents were criticized over their moral point of view, Let's listen to the
fifth commandment. As as you listen, pay attention to the words that follow,
honor your father and your mother. God has a promise for you young people who
chose to listen.
Honour thy father and thy mother, as the Lord thy God
hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well
with thee, in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
Now did you catch that? What's in it for you if you do honor your father and
your other? God's promise, here it is again, "that
thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land that
the Lord thy God giveth thee."
The young lady complained about a what she called, "a small moral
majority that wanted abstinence taught." She probably had in mind the
commandment, Thou shalt not commit adultery, but perhaps the small moral
majority had God's law in their heart, and either thought or said the words of
Moses in Deuteronomy 23:17;
There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor
a Sodomite of the sons of Israel.
I'll be back right after this message.

SPEAKER: Let's return the Bible's Book of Deuteronomy. Here is verse three of
Deuteronomy six.
(3) Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it;
that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the Lord
God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and
honey.
Surely America is a land that floweth with milk and honey. That is why people
of other lands are coming here as fast as they can. The whole world knows, that
the land that floweth with milk and honey, is America. This verse says, we are
to keep God's commandments that we may increase mightily,
But what is happening here in America? Birth control and abortion have
already reduced our birth rate. This young woman will never have any children,
and if she does have children, her children will die at a very early age of
aids. This is just the exact opposite of "that ye may increase
mightily." Continuing on in the next verse, Here's Deuteronomy 6:4
(4) Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God is one Lord:
(5) And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine
heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
(6) And these words, which I command thee this day,
shall be in thine heart:
(7) And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy
children**, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou
walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
Now many of you young adults, and even many of you teenagers may not think
that this happened to you. You parents may not think that you have done this,
but you think on this: What did you parents say to your children when they
"sittest in thy house?"
How about, do your homework, I want you home by nine. Turn off that
television. I don't want you reading that crap. Cut your hair. Don't wear those
tight fitting clothes.
To those of you who are now young adults, I ask, how much would it have
benefited you, if you had done as your parents ask?
Well, if you were home by nine you might not have gotten aids or pregnant.
You might not have wrecked the family car. You might not have spent a night in
jail. Yes, your parents did talk to you, when thou sittest in thine house, your
parents did talk to you when thou walkest by the way. Your parents did talk to
you when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And you probably didn't want
to hear about it.
No, your parents didn't speak God's word just exactly as written
in your Bible. But it was in your parents heart. And nothing that thy said would
have brought harm. And had you listened, then today you would have God's
promise;
Deuteronomy 5:16 , Honour thy father and thy mother, as
the Lord thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that
it may go well with thee, in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
And these words , the next several verses, written so long ago. They apply to
you. You, the teenagers of present day America. Here is Deuteronomy 6, verses
10-15, Listen and think.
(10) And it shall be, when the Lord thy God shall have
brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to
Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst
not,
(11) And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive
trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full;
(12) Then beware lest thou forget the Lord, which
brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
(13) Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God, and serve him,
and shalt swear by his name.
(14) Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of
the people which are round about you;
(15) (For the Lord thy God is a jealous God among
you) lest the anger of the Lord thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy
thee from off the face of the earth.
At first these words of Moses, spoken almost 4,000 years ago, They may not
appear to apply to you, the teenagers of modern day America. Let's listen again
to verse 10;
(10) And it shall be, when the Lord thy God shall have
brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to
Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst
not,
Yes, great and goodly cities that thou buildest not. Your great grandparents
came to this wilderness and built great and goodly cities, which you teenagers buildest not. You were born into some of the greatest and best cities ever
built. Freeways, heat and light, running water, fire protection, sewage plants.
Everything your grandfather could only dream about and read about in a science
fiction book of his day. And think about this next verse, verse 11;
(11) And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive
trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full;
Yes, houses full of all good things. When your parents or grandparents were
your age there was no such thing as television, they would walk several miles
once a week to see a movie. Many of them didn't even have shoes to wear in the
Summer. They did not have inside bath room with hot and cold running water.
Many homes still had out houses. To take a bath required heating water on the
stove. To stay warm in the winter they went to the basement and shoveled coal
into the furnace. The homes were hot in the summer - cold in the winter. Yes,
you were born into houses full of good things. Moses mentions, "wells that
thou diggest not." And what's that? "
That is hot and cold running water. You teenagers did not built the
water treatment plant, you teenagers did not lay the pipe nor drill the well. It
was there when you were born. Vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst
not. Your ancestors worked from sun to sun to cut down the forest and build the
family farms of America. Now you, their later day children, simply pop a TV
dinner into the radar range. And here is Moses warning; When you have all these
good things;
(12) Then beware lest thou forget the Lord, . . ..
(13) Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his
name.
(14) Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are
round about you; The Lord thy God is a jealous God among you, lest the anger of
the Lord thy God be kindled against thee and destroy thee from off the face of
the earth.
Ye shall not go after other gods. Tthe gods of the people which are round
about you. Now what do the other gods. The gods of the TV talk shows, the
newspapers and the movies tell you, The young lady in the newspaper article, the
girl with aids, she quoted today's false gods. This is what she said, reading
from the newspaper article; "I ask them to do two things, first of all, do
what is right for you, not what is right for Tom, Dick or Harry." She said, "after
you have decided what's right, do it the safest way you know how."
Isn't that what you hear on the TV talk shows, the situation comedies, from
the liberals and humanists? Not God's law, but safe sex. Do it the safest way
you know how, but my friends, there is no such thing as, safe sin. I'll be back
after this message.

SPEAKER: God gave us all good things, and what are we doing here in
modern America? It's in verse 16 of this same chapter: Listen;
(16) Ye shall not tempt the Lord your God, as ye
tempted him in Massah. Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord
your God, and his testimonies and his statutes which he hath commanded thee, and
thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of the Lord, that it may
be well with thee.
The people of Moses day provoked God to anger at a place called Massah. There
was no water there, and the people were thirsty. The people said to Moses. If
God really exists, he would have known that there was no water here. These words
of verse 16, they are the same words quoted by Jesus Christ when he was tempted
by the devil, here it is from Matthew 4:4;
Matthew 4:5-7: (5) Then the devil taketh him up into
the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,
(6) And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is
written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands
they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
(7) Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy
God.
Ye shall not tempt the Lord your God, as ye tempted him in Massah. This
teenager, the girl in the article, or at least most teenagers, you know God's
law, thou shalt not commit adultery, thou shalt honor thy father and mother.
Living as if God does not exist, being ungrateful for his many blessings,
refusing to follow his instructions, that is a sure way to provoke God to anger,
that is what Moses meant when he said,
(16) Ye shall not tempt the Lord your God, as ye
tempted him in Massah. You shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord
your God.
She chose not to follow what all know is God's law. Everyone knows thou shalt
not commit adultery, Everyone knows, thou shalt honor thy father and mother. God
gave this generation, great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not, houses
full of all good things, wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and
olive trees, which thou plantedst not. God gave this generation all this, but we
live as if God he does not exist. Instead we provoke him to anger by listening
to new gods, by listening to the evangelists of safe-sex, The girl in the news
article, she went to the gods of the people that are round about. For one, the
god of medical science. Here is Psalms 103:1-3;
Psalms 103:1-3 : (2) Bless the Lord, O my soul, and
forget not all his benefits: (3) Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth
all thy diseases;
But the god of this world says, forget God's benefits, do as you please. If
it feels good, do it. Do it as safe as possible and spend more money on
research. Medical science will discover a cure for aids, raise taxes, to pay for
medical research, to discover a cure for cancer.
The prophets of the false gods
preach, don't listen to God's food laws, eat anything that moves, and spend more
and more money so medical science can discover a cure for heart attack. Isn't it
time that we quit paying our national tithes and offerings to false gods? Right
now we are spending 800 billion dollars a year on health care. (1992) How can
our government reduce taxes?
Simply by basing our national legislation on God's
revealed law, rather listening to the humanists and the atheists. We can save
money simply by basing our laws upon the laws of God, and not upon the opinions
of the Talk
Shows and the opinions of the television script writers. And after this message
I will talk about a Biblical way to cleanse our land of aids and other
contagions disease.

SPEAKER: Here it is, God's solution to the AIDS problem. It has been
here all along, It is in Deuteronomy 24 verse 8;
Take heed in the plague of leprosy, that thou observe
diligently, and do according to all that the priests the Levites shall teach
you: as I commanded them, so ye shall observe to do.
Leprosy is simply a Bible word for contagions disease. Here is how that verse
is translated in another version; The other version says, "Regarding
contagions diseases take especial care to do all that I have instructed you. The
priests and Levites must take care to do according to the rules I command
them."
And what were the rules these medical doctors of that day? The rules that God
gave to Moses. What were they to do? What are we to do? All we need do is turn
back to Numbers chapter 5 and verses 1-4, listen;
Chapter Five. (1) And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
(2) Command
the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper, . . . .
3)
Both male and female shall ye put out, without the camp shall ye put them; that
they defile not their camps, in the midst whereof I dwell.
(4) And the children
of Israel did so, and put them out without the camp: as the Lord spake unto
Moses, so did the children of Israel.
We can turn back to yet another book of your Bible, to Leviticus 13 and we
will find these words:
Leviticus 13:46-59: (46) And the leper in whom the
plague is, he shall put a covering upon his upper lip, and cry unclean, unclean.
All the days wherein the plague shall be in him he shall be defiled; he is
unclean: he shall dwell alone; without the camp shall his habitation be.
(59) This is the law of the plague of leprosy
A covering on his upper lip and cry "Unclean!". The person who
was infected has an obligation to warn others, to live alone, what are we
talking about? Simply the ancient law of quarantine. I have in my hands a modern
day dictionary, Under quarantine, here is what it says;
Quarantine; The act of keeping a diseased person, animal, or plant away from
others so that the disease will not spread.
That is God's law. But mention quarantine as a solution to the aids problem
and some people come unglued. They scream words such a Bigot, Hater and even
worse. Any solution but God's solution. They want to mix the diseased with the
healthy. They even write that into our laws. And when that does happen, when you
are forced to send your children to a school with aids infected children. When
you are forced to work with aids infected people, to whom are the men in the
legislature listening to? Are they listening to the God of the Bible who says
quarantine, or are they listening to the false gods of man who say, do it the
safest way possible and donate money so we can discover a cure?
Well, what is your choice? Pass laws that allow the infected mix with the
crowd, sneeze in your face, and keep the infection secret? Or pass laws that
require the infected to cover their mouth, warn others and remain isolated? God's way
or man's way?
To listen to the gods of the humanists, the liberals, and other so called,
do-gooders, or to the God of the Bible who says, quarantine? Quarantine is an
ancient law. It is a statute under God's Law, "Thou shalt not kill."
In the year 1992, the government said that one in 250 has the aids disease. If
each of these diseased people live an additional five years, and pass the
disease on to only two other people that in five year period, then it will be 1
in 125. And if, in the next five years, that infected person gives his incurable
disease to just two other people, then it will be one in 60.
Get out your pencil, and you will quickly see that we have less that forty
years to repent and obey God. Because if we do not, then the curses in
Deuteronomy 28 will come to pass. Listen to Deuteronomy 28:58-60; When we tempt
God with our ingratitude and rebellion, he gets angry, and when he gets angry,
he gets even, listen;
(58) If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of
this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and
fearful name, The Lord Thy God;
(59) Then the Lord will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed,
even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sickness, and of long
continuance.
(60) Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast
afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee.
(61) Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book
of this law, them will the Lord bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
(62) And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven
for multitude; because thou wouldest not obey the voice of the Lord thy God.
O.K., Let's close this program with some good news. The Gospel according to
Saint John chapter 14 - (From John 14:1-15:11)
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the
life:... If ye love me, keep my commandments. (21) He that hath my commandments,
and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved
of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. (10) If ye
keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's
commandments, and abide in his love. (11) These things have I spoken unto you,
that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
