Only George Lucas would know if the speculative contents of this page is correct. The reader can only think for himself and decide for himself if the following makes sense. |
Questions Answered What is 'the force'? How can you use the force? What is 'the power of the dark side'? What then is the 'light' side of the force? Do you have 'the force'? If not, how can you obtain it? Can you become a JEDI?
And finally, what in the world does all this have to do with |
In addition to the movies, there are two good Star Wars computer games. Like the movie, both Rebellion and Tie Fighter contain Bible references.

It is generally agreed that there are many Bible references in the Star Wars movies and you can search the internet for more information.
In Tie Fighter the First Commandment is rewritten.
Serve the emperor above all others.* | I an the Lord your God. You shall have no other Gods before me. |
*In Tie Fighter you are loyal to the
Empire whereas in the companion computer game X-Wing you are loyal to the
Rebellion.
Here is an interesting part of the script found in Tie Fighter.
Battle Nine - Mission 6 Know that your Emperor watches over you.* Many are called to serve the Emperor, but only the most skillful warriors are chosen** for such dangerous assignments. Serve the Emperor well and you will reap great rewards! |
* Christians believe "that God watches over you." And in fact, in Star Wars Princess Lea said, 'he's so old he's ancient." In the book of Daniel you will find this: Daniel 7:9 I beheld till the
thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose
garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool:
his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. |
In the Star Wars computer game Rebellion, in the fight between good and evil, you deal with and manage thirty characters. These characters have different talents and abilities.
The Empire believes the Rebel Alliance is an evil bunch of criminals whereas the Rebel Alliance views the Galactic Empire as the sum of all evil. This is much like today's liberal Left and the Conservative Right. Both view the other as evil.
Both Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader have 'the force'. Vader is loyal to 'the dark side'.
In the computer game when Darth Vader comes into the presence of certain characters he might report. "I have detected that Commander Needa has the ability to use the force."
At that point you can send Vader and Needa on a mission called Jedi Training. In the game one who already has the force can detect it in others. That other person may not be able to detect or be aware of it in himself.
Cries of "Heretic" and "wacko" must fill the air at this point. but 'stay tuned' and put your 'thinking cap' on.

Luke 4:1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, | Luke 4:1And Jesus being full of the Force returned from Jordan, and was led by the Force into the wilderness, |
Acts 5:32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him. | Acts 5:32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Force, whom God hath given to them that obey him. |
Question |
Answer |
Can you have the Holy Spirit before baptism? | Acts 10:47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? |
Assuming that 'The Force' is the Holy Spirit, does, or can The Force come before Baptism?
(Yes.) In this verse The Force
/ Holy
Spirit was received before Baptism.
Also note in Acts 10:47 that one having 'the force' can detect it in others.
"...which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?" If they
could not detect it, how could they have
known?
So, may the Force be with you, is not, "May God be with you" but rather, "May the Holy Spirit be with
you."
"The Force is with you young Skywalker is, "You have the Holy Spirit."
Can a person with The Force (Holy Spirit) make it available to another or can he only train one who already possesses it? (Jedi Training?)
Acts 8:15-17
Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the
Holy Ghost: 16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were
baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) |
And when you receive the Holy Ghost, do you you then need training as
with The Force in Jedi Training?
Both the movie and the computer game say so.
Yodha trained Luke. Note that YHWH if pronounced letter by letter in Hebrew it is Yod Ha Wa Ha. Just wondering, is Yoda's last name Waha or is Yodha short for Yoddawaha? (YHWH = YAHWEH and is one or the Bible's name for God.) |
Acts 8:18 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, | |
Acts 8:19 Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost. | The Holy Ghost is a power. |
Acts 8:20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. | Can the Holy Spirit / The Force be
purchased with money? No, because it is 'purchased' with obedience. Acts 5:32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also (the Force), whom God hath given to them that obey him. Just as you freely give God your obedience, He freely gives you 'The Force'. |
Acts 8:21 Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God | Perhaps Simon would have misused this power and become a Dark Jedi? |
